Juli Goff, Director

Juli, graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Physical Therapy, worked especially with children with disabilities and chronic pain patients for 10 years, and then spent 18 years in hospital administration managing programs and personnel from all medical disciplines. She did extensive work as a mediator and community planner in Tucson, AZ which now translates into volunteering with the La Paz Orphanage and School of Music. She became a Mexican citizen in 2007 and now enjoys dual citizenship. Her avocations are world travel, anything in or on the sea and her pooches, Minnie and Cinders. She is considered the ultimate "concierge of La Paz" as she can answer about any question or manage any issue. Welcome to her school and home!

Merit, Director of Education

Merit, has been a superior instructor with Se Habla La Paz since 2000; in 2004 she became the Assistant Director of Education. She has 2 degrees, the first in Higher Education and the second in Accounting. She is an exceptional teacher with all levels of students and she brings energy, enthusiasm and a patient manner that assists all students to their highest potential. Originally from Cuidad Insurgentes north of La Paz, her family has a legacy of teachers. Merit and her husband Noe both teach and they have 1 child, Aldair.

Alexa, Instructor

Alexa is originally from Mexico City. She studied Electronics at a University there and then moved to La Paz 30 years ago with her family. She has also studied English here in La Paz as well as painting and cooking.
She very much likes meeting new people and traveling to new places.
Se Habla… La Paz is fortunate to have this excellent instructor with many talents and interests to keep the conversations lively!

Gaby, was born in La Paz and studied Modern Languages with a degree in Teaching and certification in French as well. She began her teaching career when she was 19, as an English teacher, in a primary school here in La Paz. She loves languages, meeting people from different countries and cultures. As well, she loves traveling! She is very proud of her city and really enjoys teaching at Se Habla...La Paz!

Martha, Instructor

Martha, was born in La Paz and studied fiscal and financial accounting but found a fascination for teaching! She likes getting to know people, foreigners and their world-wide cultures. She is a prolific reader and is admittedly addicted to the movies. Martha is our newest teacher and we are thrilled to have her talents devoted to our students and their learning. She is another "natural" instructor who has the patience of a saint and the sweetest smile!

Marco, Instructor

Marco has been associated with Se Habla…La Paz for many years and now is a full-time instructor. In addition to teaching for us, he teaches in the evenings at Instituto Tecnologico de La Paz. Marco is a native “paceño” from La Paz and has a degree in International Trade Business from UABCS. He has studied and taught in Vancouver, Canada as well. He is perfectly bi-lingual and enjoys the intricacies of the languages using his easy-going personality to teach every level of proficiency. As well, he has studied in the Chapman School of Seamanship in Florida to achieve his certification in his other occupation as a certified marine surveyor. A busy man, we are pleased that Marco has joined our teaching staff full time, offering our students an exceptional learning experience.

Minnie and Cinders take their job as "Greeters of the School" very seriously. They're probably the first two faces you'll see!
"They are rescued doggies from La Paz and have found a good life being companions for the students during the day and watchdogs during the night."
